How to make a real weapon

This animation short film is my last collaboration with the great canary artist Pablo Morales de los Ríos. We counted with the invaluable help of of Eduardo Suárez and Eduardo Arnela with electric guitar and Bruno Espadas in the studio. The short film attempts to be a reflection on culture and music as an opposed force to war. For this occasion I decided to use a set of violins, violas and cellos to create a loop that transmitted some tension, accompanied by digital basses, long pads, drums and electric guitar.
Because its social content it was exhibited at many human rights film festivals (including the 3D WIRE, International Animation, Videogames and New Media 2015, Segovia; the ANIMAMUNDI International Animation Festival in Rio de Janeiro And São Paulo during 2015; the 2015 Film and Human Rights Festival in Barcelona; the Bogotá Short Film Festival, 2015; and the NONSTOP Festival of Animation in 2015, Barcelona, among others)

Carromato is an adventure leaded by José Ibánez, with cerebral palsy, in which I was involved in Madrid. Composed by Nacho Ruiz (“Silverfist”, “Pimpinela”, “Symphonic Rhapsody of Queen”) and Eduardo Suárez (“Black Rock”, “Freak Fighters”), guitars; the voices of Mar Cabello (“Mägo de Oz”) y Roxanna Giardino; Alex del Baño (“New Jersey”), bass and Mariano Grasso (“Wayland”), drums. Great moments like our participation in Eurovisión 2008 define a trajectory of great shows. But the main star was José Ibáñez, whose documentary (courtesy of Antena3 channel) you can see here.

Bloody Justice

Bloody Justice is the great web series from Pablo Morales de los Ríos, awarded the LA Web Series Festival with 5 prizes: “…for 3 months, 5 psychopaths must live together in a house: a schizophrenic maniac, an anthropophagous sociopath, an apocalyptic sadomasochistic apocalyptic, a university student of multiple personalities and a terrorist bounty hunter. The one who proves to be the most civilized will win the biggest prize: Freedom”. I say no more, only that I was fortunate enough to compose with Eduardo Suárez the main theme of the series, our particular version of Mozart’s “Dies Irae”, in which I also sing. You can hear the song from minute 20:19.

Carpophonica was my last band in Madrid before returning to Canary Islands. Composed by Patricia Dégano (voice), Pablo Ruiz (guitar), Alex Gómez (bass), and myself at keyboards, was one of the projects where I had the most fun. I this travel into pop-rock we recorded this two clips for the spanish production company TOMATU MUSIC.
